The Adriatic Sea contains more than 1,000 islands in between which you could sail, you could do ‘island hopping’, rightfully called ‘the pearl of the Adriatic.’ Panoramic views extend to the shoreline over vineyards and villages; you could explore the treasured promenade shopping beneath forested hills. The main 5 cruise ports are: Venice and Bari (Italy), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Corfu (Greece) and Kotor (Montenegro).
The sailing season starts in May and runs to October. The weather is usually fantastic, with beautiful sunny days. While the sea starts off pretty cold, it gets warm by early July and is at its warmest in late August. The weather is still amazing, the sea is warm and the crowds have reduced.
